What To Expect At Your Visit

I know it can be uncomfortable and intimidating to tell a complete stranger the most intimate details of your life. I promise you, you will find a safe and welcoming space with me. 

Therapy has been proven to be successful because of the relationship between the therapist and the client. My first priority is a genuine connection with you where you feel heard and validated. I won't just focus on how you feel about things, I will focus on giving you tangible tools and guidance for your specific situation, whether it's tools for anxiety or to improve communication, trust and intimacy in a marriage. With couples, I utilize the Gottman Method as well as Prepare/Enrich for detailed assessments so we can break down each part of your marriage so every aspect can be examined and strengthened, rebuilt sometimes from the ground up,  as well as the specific issues that bring you to therapy.

For individuals, my main treatment modalities are CBT (learn how to 'take every thought captive and make it obedient to truth'), ACT (Acceptance and commitment therapy) identifying our values and making decisions that align with them, Narrative Therapy (examining and evaluating the stories we construct and tell ourselves about things/people/circumstances),  and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT, being a biblical, hope-filled and hope-focused therapist, I will help you identify solutions, goals, and we'll walk you towards actually achieving them with a clear roadmap).

I prefer to focus on positive, hope filled solutions that move you towards the full, abundant life God wants for you. My prayer is that I can be a mere Vessel in the journey to get you there! I truly curate each session to your needs, wants and personality and rely on the Holy Spirit to do His thing, He has been so faithful, and I give all glory to Him! This isn't a job to me-- it's a calling, mission, and passion that is one of the greatest blessings in my life.
