Faith Statement

Preface: while I am a Christian, if you are not, I would still be honored to be your therapist. My primary concern is providing you with a safe environment where you can feel heard and cared for! I will never push my faith onto another person.

My personal relationship with the Lord is the most important thing in my life. I spend daily (most days! I fail sometimes, too!) quiet time with Him through prayer and reading the living Word of God, my guiding light for life, the Bible. I honestly try to filter everything I do, think and say through what the bible says (I fail at this daily, but this is the goal that I will always strive for). It has absolutely changed my life and has been the biggest peace-filled blessing living this way! My family and I attend a non-denominational church weekly where we also serve and are very involved. We need the body of Christ!

I believe that there is one living and true GOD, eternally existing in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

I believe salvation comes to people on the basis of God’s grace through their faith in Jesus alone. They receive the free gift of forgiveness and are spiritually reborn through repenting of their sin and believing in Jesus Christ. Good works and a holy life, although totally unable to save anyone, is the natural product of repentant, believing people.  “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).

I believe that the scriptures of the Old and New Testament are the Word of God, inspired by God without error and the infallible rule of faith and practice.

While I don't have a

degree from a Christian university/program, I do consider myself a Christian counselor as it's the primary passion of my life and I love implementing biblical principles and talking about the Lord every chance I get! I know this career is God's calling on my life, and I trust He works in and through me to help you. I always pray that He will speak through me, and that I will be used as His vessel (again, thus, the name of my practice!). I do base a lot of my counseling with fellow believers on the Bible itself as well as other Christian counseling books and literature.
